Filmmaker David O’Keefe to screen Dieppe documentary in Hudson

The Hudson Historical Society will again welcome documentary filmmaker David O’Keefe to their annual Remembrance Day event on Monday, Nov. 12.

O’Keefe’s recent film Dieppe Uncovered, which premiered on the History Channel in August, will be screened at Hudson’s St. James’ Church Hall, 642 Main Rd. on Monday, Nov. 12, at 7.30 p.m.

O’Keefe will answer questions and provide further commentary on the disastrous World War II raid which saw more than 3,000 of the 5,000 predominantly Canadian troops wounded, captured or killed. More than 900 Canadian infantrymen died in the Dieppe Raid of Aug. 19, 1942.
