Terrasse Vaudreuil gets back online

The town of Terrasse Vaudreuil is finally back online after a virus obliterated its website last January.

The site was relaunched Tuesday night, general manager Ron Kelley said, at a cost of about $4,000. The new site will be more informative than the old one, and will have news bulletins posted regularly. There will also be a place where the town’s publications will be posted, and citizens will eventually be able to sign up to receive email newsletters.

Kelley said the core of the site is up and running now, but the town is still adding pages.

“The pages are being approved and put on the site as the days go by,” Kelley said.

He added that security has been improved and the files for the site will be backed up in a secure location so they don’t get lost again.
