The towns on Île Perrot are warning their residents not to venture on the ice on Thursday and Friday because public safety officials will be opening the dam at Coteau du Lac.

The rush of water could weaken the ice around Île Perrot.

Aside from warning residents to stay off the lake, the town of Pincourt has closed access at D’Ambrosio, René-Lévesque and Bellevue Parks.
