Vaudreuil-Dorion has finally pulled the trigger on its Facebook page.

The Facebook page was created several days ago, but it only seems to have gone live on Wednesday night.

The city used the page to post messages about the fact that a portion of St-Charles Ave. was closed on Thursday, because winds threatened to topple a tree situated near the road.

The Facebook page won’t substitute for 9-1-1 service, the city wrote on its page, but it can be used for citizens to post questions, which the city says it will answer during business hours.
