The town of Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot said Forest St., which has not yet been paved, will be smoothed out in the coming days. The town says it’s difficult for cars to drive on the street, because it is uneven and blamed the condition on extreme temperature fluctuations this winter.
In a statement, the town said it will fix the road when weather conditions improve.
Forest St. is the extension of Forest Ave. in Pincourt. Neighbouring N.D.I.P. extended the street late last year in an effort to ease rush-hour congestion on heavily backlogged 5th Ave. However, the town ran into delays and couldn’t pave the road in time for the winter. The road will be paved in the spring.
