About 1,300 homes were still without electricity on Thursday night, and Hydro Québec said it expects power to be restored this evening.
The worst-hit region appears to be St-Lazare, where 956 homes were without power at 4 p.m. Vaudreuil-Dorion had 90 outages, while Vaudreuil-sur-le-lac had 65. There were 44 outages in Hudson and 106 in Rigaud.
That’s an improvement from 10 a.m., when 8,000 homes in the region were without power.
The outages were blamed on Wednesday’s snowstorm, and forced the closure of three schools in St-Lazare for the day.
The Lester B. Pearson School Board said Westwood High School’s Junior Campus is closed for the day, as are both campuses of Forest Hill High School. Evergreen Elementary School is also closed for the day.

Hi,
I was just wondering if there has been any notification about what time the power will return?
Thanks for the update!
Chris
I called Hydro this morning and they said 7:30pm….however, I just called again for an update hoping that something had been resolved….now they are unsure of when the power will be restored
….I have two 1 year olds and an 8 year old….I can’t even stay in my own home tonight!
